TOP 10 Red Blends – 2017
The panel tasted the Red Blends category on July 19th and featured 28 wines from 13 producers, including 2 “world” wines from Virginia and Languedoc. The category was split between 54% of the wines being from the Texas, 38% from Texas Hill Country and the remaining 8% consisting of wines from the Texas High Plains. The panel demonstrated a level consensus that is just beyond what is considered a normal statistical deviation with an average Panel Consensus score of 0.85, which means that on average the judges on the panel tastes within 3.40 points of each other on a 100 point scale.
