TOP 10 VIOGNIER – 2017
The panel tasted the Viognier category on June 21st and again on October 18th. It featured 14 wines from 13 producers, including 2 “world” wines from Virginia and Mont Ventoux (Provence) . The category was split between 50% of the wines being from the Texas, 42% from the Texas High Plains and the remaining 8% consisting of wines from the Texas Hill Country. The panel demonstrated overall consensus across the category with average Panel Consensus score of 0.69, which means that on average the judges on the panel tastes within 2.76 points of each other on a 100 point scale.
