Jim Cubberley has been in the wine business since 1993 and in that time has worked every major area of hospitality including restaurants, retail and wholesale. Far and away his passion lies with one on one customer service.
He teaches classes in wine appreciation where he relays fundamental knowledge and passion for wine. His hospitality career started at The Cellar in Westlake, then graduated to Brio, Brio Vista and then onto retail as an HEB Wine Steward. He has also worked at Twin Liquors, Central Market, Glazers Distribution, Moonshine and currently has been at Spec’s for the last seven years. He believes his learning will never stop and is what makes wine so fun. He loves all wine but his expertise is in Italian wines, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel.
