Miguel Lecuona runs a marketing service company, Wine Marketing Guide LLC, with clients in Texas, Virginia, New York, and Bordeaux. Miguel bridged a corporate marketing career to pursue and earn an MBA in Wine Marketing in France in 2008-2009, at INSEEC-Bordeaux.
While in Bordeaux, he worked harvest at Chateau Margaux and numerous chateaux on the Right Bank, and became an accredited wine taster and Photojournalist for the Union Des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. He has covered Bordeaux Primeurs at the very highest levels for many vintages. Writing and posting as City Wine Journal, he is one of the top 100 most followed wine tasters on CellarTracker.com. He holds wine education credentials from the Wine School of Philadelphia, TexSom, and the Court of Master Sommeliers, and has advised private clients extensively about the fine and rare wine auction market.
Miguel relocated to the Hill Country to fully indulge his love for, and service to, the Texas Wine industry. His latest project is the premiere edition of CRUSH – the Texas Hill Country Wine Guide, published in the Spring of 2015. He lives in Fredericksburg with his wife Barbara, two Akitas and a ridiculous cat. And they’re never leaving.
